Pass the Gas

A donation app that allows users to easily and mindlessly set up donation plans to help provide necessary transportation to those who need it in their area through rounding up purchases.

  • For SI482 Interaction Design Studio, my team was tasked with creating an app that would address the following prompt: create a app that solves a community issue and has a positive social impact. Over the course of the semester, we went from initial brainstorming to finalizing high-fidelity interactive prototypes, exercising valuable skills in the field of project management, UX design, and technical prototyping.

  • Throughout the course of the project, I took on multiple roles. Examples include project manager, designer, and presenter.

  • Lower income communities need affordable access to transportation because it is a financial burden that is necessary for their daily lives. Transportation is not only an essential part of being an active participant in one’s community, but also essential to surviving which many people struggle to afford and gain regular access to.

Additionally, middle and upper class individuals need more efficient ways to give back to their immediate neighboring communities on a regular basis.
